I have a whole boat load of these kinds of photos in my family albums. The sad part is that most of my family WHO could tell me everyone's name has passed on. Now it is up to me to try and piece it all together.
I have my Mom's family back to about 1700 (PA) and my Dad's back to 1680 or so in MD. Then I am stuck and cannot go back to Europe. I have some leaps but no concrete links to take me there. I know we came from here -- he he -- because here I am!
Anyhoo, genealogy is a fun hobby. I have decided to take a break from mine until I retire. It is a really good hobby for old people :o) (saying that with love in my heart) and knowing that someday you will get lots of emails from many old people who think you don't have anything better to do than to chart your family tree!
Ps. the longer you are on the Internet, the more connections you will make. My tree has been online since 1998.
